WHAT IS A FAMILY FILM?
One of my favourite things to do as an adult is to watch my old VHS home films that I have. It makes me feel like I can time travel. I love laughing at the fashions and the décor, I love the nostalgia of being taken on a journey to a place where I’ll never be able to go to again but yet, I can re-live through this precious medium in a way that nothing else allows.
A family or legacy film is like a storybook come to life. It’s a tender, cinematic portrait of the people you love most. It might capture a season of family life, or tell the full life story of a loved one, preserving their voice, laughter, and memories so that generations to come can know and feel the love that shaped them.
Our sessions are set in your happy place and although I’ll make a few recommendations about how we utilise light and get the best of our surroundings, the session is designed to capture you and your family story as authentically as possible.
